LIBRARY RECEIVES KINGSBURY DONATIONS
The church library has a wealth of Christian fiction! And we've just received a number of new volumes by Karen Kingsbury, who is currently the best-selling author of Christian fiction.
One new acquisition is the three-book series entitled "Forever Faithful," and there are others. Come and see! These Karen Kingsbury books and others were donated this week by White Springs member Sandy Holloway. We have another Karen Kingsbury set of five books donated earlier this year by Jeannie Williams and Irene Lee.
Use -- no, Invest! -- some of your free time in reading books that will help you grow in the Christian life. We have thin commentary books about almost all the books of the Bible, books about prayer, personal evangelism, discipleship, stewardship, grief, Christian family (marriage, parent/child relationship) and so many more. Come and take a look. The library is open 8:45 - 9:15 on Sunday mornings, 4:30 - 5:55 on Sunday evenings, after each service for 10 minutes or so, on Wednesday evening 6:00-6:45. If you need library materials and these times don't fit your schedule, phone me at home 413-7614 for a special time. We'll set an appointment!

Paul said to Timothy:
"Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine" (I Timothy 4:13).
The Redemption Series by Karen Kingsbury
A series of five books that develop the "Redemption" theme. The first three books were
given to the library by Jeannie Williams. Irene Lee read those three and enjoyed them so much
that she purchased the final two volumes, read them and gave them to the WSBC Library to
complete our set. The author, Karen Kingsbury has written many Christian fiction stories, but
these are the first ones in our library. Irene also wrote this review of the series: The story is
about the Baxter family, you can see the faithfulness of God working in each family member's life.
Through their tragedies and triumphs, this family learns about commitment, forgiveness, faith,
and the redeeming hand of God. As you read, you will find your faith strengthened and
understand that God's will is always best. One theme you pick up in this series is that God has
a plan for your life and reminds you that God is in control. I enjoyed reading and although these
were fictional characters, I was inspired by how they lived out their Christianity.
